Your first visit includes a full psychiatric evaluation, during which we discuss your concerns, personal history, and treatment goals. It is a supportive, judgment-free space where we begin building a care plan tailored specifically to you. Most first visits are conducted via secure video — no travel required.

This depends on your needs. You and your provider will make a decision about what will work best for you. However, to remain as an active patient, we require to meet at minimum of 90 days.

Functional psychiatry looks beyond symptoms to understand underlying contributors to mental health, such as nutrition, sleep, hormones, inflammation, and stress. This approach allows for more personalized and comprehensive care which may utilize unconventional lab testing through companies like Genova, Genomind, IntellxxDNA, DH lab and more. Unfortunately, these lab costs are usually out of pocket but some may also accept FSA plans.

SKS Psychiatry is not an emergency facility, and our office is not staffed outside regular hours. If you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, including suicidal thoughts, severe medication side effects, or urgent concerns, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. You can also call or text 988, the National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

If you frequently need crisis support or hospitalizations for serious mental health concerns, a higher level of care may be more appropriate. We are happy to provide referrals to help you get the care you need.

Many clients are able to receive partial reimbursement through their out-of-network insurance benefits, and we’re happy to provide a superbill if you’d like to submit a claim.

We treat people 18 years and older.

Yes we do and more to come! We are in the process in working with Medicaid as well. Please send us a message to confirm if you are in network.

Yes, your privacy is very important. Everything discussed is confidential, with a few legal exceptions (such as safety concerns), which we will review with you at the start of care.
